3 Bedroom, 2 bath Penthouse with 2 patios and 1 huge roof top deck. Our client bought this place pre-sale and found that it felt too “austere” for her rustic eclectic taste. So we decided to rough it up a little by sanding walking pathways in the black stained wood flooring to show the warm honey colour beneath. In the kitchen we added cork with gold veining to the walls and wrapped the island in the same cork for natural texture. The over-height ceilings called for dramatic wallpaper, custom lighting and fabulous art. Over-sized leather furniture made the space feel comfortable and inviting. Industrial elements like the custom made 8’ dining table with steel legs and raw wood bench on casters gave personality to the open concept room. The bedrooms were inspired by high-end hotels, with lux beds, soft accent pillows and feminine touches for ultimate beauty. The bathrooms were the place to add bold colour and fun patterns in the wallpaper. The outdoor spaces were lush and open.  We mixed elements of wood, concrete and sculpted brightly coloured chairs and tables. Landscaping was key to framing the outdoor space and large cantilevered umbrellas protected guests from the elements.
